About Us
We are a locally owned, fiercely independent bookstore and café selling a wide range of new and used books and vinyl, as well as organic coffee drinks.
Founded in 2003, Inquiring Minds has been a cornerstone of the Saugerties community. We strive to create a welcoming and accessible space for people of all ages, genders, class, and demographics.
We are fully wheelchair accessible and pet friendly, offering indoor and outdoor seating for anyone to read, write, chat, enjoy a beverage, or just to relax and reflect. We believe in the power of the written word to incite positive change in ourselves and each other, and to that purpose, strive to offer affordable pricing, discounts and freebies.
Inquiring Minds holds that acceptance, equality, and growth begin with questions and an outlet to explore answers. We seek not only to provide our community with books that satisfy, satiate, and stimulate our minds, but a safe space for everyone to be their authentic selves.
